LLC Azbentonit started its activities in 2004 after the official opening ceremony attended by the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. The company is engaged in manufacturing and packaging bentonite powder, various brands of Portland cement, more than 40 kinds of paint, dry materials, including gypsum products, solutions for laying glazed and flooring tiles, masonry and plaster, as well as decorative plaster, lime and slack lime, which stand out for their high quality in the sector of dry materials.

The company has created a flexible management structure and selected and placed highly qualified personnel in all major areas. The factory runs a research and production department, and its research base is a modern and versatile central testing laboratory.

As local raw materials are used for the production of the entire range of products, Azbentonit stands out for its reasonable prices on the market. The combination of high quality and favourable prices boosts consumer demand for Azbentonit products. The company, in turn, demonstrates great attention to customers and attaches great importance to their interests.

At the same time, a comprehensive action plan is being developed and implemented to address the social problems of workers and to ensure their leisure, labour safety and environmental protection. The company operates a dining room, a snack bar and a sports complex with a gym and has organized transport for employees to and from work. In accordance with the state programme for the creation of new jobs, the company carries out regular work for the establishment of new production sites.

On 20 July 2012, LLC Azbentonit held a ceremony to put into operation new production lines with journalists in attendance. The basis for the start of cooperation with the Turkish company Erisim Makina and the installation of new production lines at the factory was laid by Azbentonit back in 2011. Thanks to this technology, the plant will carry out preliminary and finishing puttying, machine plaster, alabaster (preliminary and final), ultra gypsum, kartonpiyer gypsum (for modelling) and profilan (internal filler for gypsum boards) of high quality.

The opening ceremony was also attended by a member of the Board of Directors of ZQAN-holding, Xayal Sarifzada, the chairman of the board of ZQAN-holding, Vaqif Hasanov, and CEO of LLC Azbentonit Aydin Mammadov. The chairman of the board of ZQAN-holding, Vaqif Hasanov, informed the participants about the activities of the factory and new products. "It is with a feeling of joy that I want to report that the installation of new production lines at the Azbentonit factory has come to an end. This means that from now on, the new plant will produce high quality products. I'm sure that the new technologies we apply will help introduce new standards in the plastering business in the country," Vaqif Hasanov said.

Speaking after him, Aydin Mammadov shared with the guests and the media information on the production line, building materials manufactured at the Azbentonit plant and expected innovations. The head of the company expressed his deep appreciation to all who participated in the creation of the new line and presented certificates and cash awards to outstanding employees. In an interview with the media, the director of Azbentonit, Yasin Xalilov, told about a new production line, its products, the production capacities of the company and answered reporters' questions.
