THE MOST IMPORTANT - THING IS TO BE SINCERE
Interview with the participant in Eurovision-2011 from Azerbaijan, Nigar Camal
Author: Reyhan ALIYEVA Baku
-Eldar and I worked on ourselves every day. This was one of the most difficult, but at the same time, the happiest days of my life. We found a lot of friends, gained experience and grew up from a creative point of view. Dusseldorf greeted us very warmly, and we came back with a victory.
It is difficult to convey in words what I felt at the time - admiration, an incredible rush of emotion, something fantastic! At the moment the hosts announced our victory, I was totally elated. My old dream came true at last!
- What if Azerbaijan wins this year too?
- Why not? The history of Eurovision has seen several similar cases. For example, in 1972, the contest was won by a representative of Luxembourg, Vicky Leandros, and in 1973, Luxembourg repeated its success. I think the creative potential of our country is no worse than others. I very much want this year's Eurovision to be remembered around the world and our show to go down in the history of the contest as the greatest and the most unique!
- What do you think about Sabina Babayeva's chances of winning?
- I wish her good luck and, of course, victory! My advice: you need to love the audience and then the audience will love you. Even if there is one person in the hall or in front of the TV set - you have to sing for him. And it does not matter where he is. Of course, when you sing in a huge hall, you cannot see the eyes of viewers, but you certainly feel their energy. And the most important thing is to be sincere. This is my formula for success.
