Novruz starts in February, actually at last two Tuesdays of this month. Quite symbolic, isn’t it? It's still winter outside and probably some plots are covered by snow. It is cold but nevertheless the spring releases its roots in the soul. At this time even the birds seem to sing quite differently. They celebrate the coming of spring singing in the cacophony of the awakening nature.
The heart seems to throw off the fetters of sternness and stiffness covering it during the autumn. The whole body lives under the feeling of the holiday, being in a state of flight. And with the upcoming Novruz, this expectation turns into a fascinating riot of spring colors, flavored with the aroma of spices and roasted nuts made ready beforehand for festivities, with a smell of burning wood in the fire.
The glare of fire on the faces, loud voices, the bustle of children looking for logs. Fire must not fade. It must be higher and higher to make jumping over it even more difficult. Purification by flame. This is a strong feeling inside of us - a primitive but equally wise call of the Mother Nature. This is what connects us to the rhythm of the Earth and the cosmic energy, the same Big Bang from which the universe began. It is in each of us.
A bright holiday... A holiday that makes you feel your ethnicity very clearly. For in any of its manifestations, the sacred meaning of family and continuation of the family, the philosophy of life in purity and harmony with oneself. It is in Novruz that you feel, as never before, that the spirit of your ancestors is concealed and manifested in everything, the seeds cultivated in the soul by the kindness and love of grandparents, the good deeds of your parents, the historical memory of the people you belong to. It's impossible not to love Novruz!
And what comes after it? A routine life. The bustle you want to escape from, as it is the very moment we run from not only the unpleasanties of life but also from what most of all has in common with nature. We cannot live apart from it. But we still do not understand this. And all that we had done to her, everything that distanced us from her was a big mistake. For if a rational mind does not forget about his origins, all his actions and achievements would be aimed at preserving the wealth - land, air, water and all living creatures. All of our knowledge would be aimed at creating, not destroying.
The greatest minds of the planet have created something that prolongs human life, but also that which takes it away. High technologies allowed us to create equipment to preserve the environment surrounding us but at the same time we mercilessly consume it. We hunt to kill animals not for the continuation of life but for fun. Living in a virtual reality, we communicate less face to face and willingly remotely argue in social networks. We cut down the forests and sell wooden furniture at the price of gold, turning the trees into a target of chasing after profit. But at the same time, we beat ourselves in the chest, calling for the preservation of forests - the lungs of the Planet Earth. We like to dress in furs and in the skin of dead animals. What is the price of this pleasure?
If people, farther and farther away from nature, came up with almost everything that could be decapitated, they never got rid of the most terrible thing in it - the desire to kill to prove their superiority. People have not learned to live in peace. At the subconscious level, there must be something in common with her. And today it is most likely a desire to constantly fight, fight for religion, territory, yes for anything. The thinking of mankind at the level of reflexes, despite the availability of refined international organizations created to preserve the world, bulges out of us in the most perverted forms. It proved to be stronger than other connections with nature, as others became very weak.
What does happen to us during the Novruz celebrations? This is one of those holidays that does reconcile human unity with the Nature and the cosmic clock in rhythm with the bowels of the Earth. A holiday of revival on the day of equinox and the awakening of all life from a long hibernation. Novruz resembles a jeweler working with a gem. It grinds us adding to our lives a new facet of life perception, allowing us to think even deeper these days about what we are and how to act to make life on Earth purer and better. Maybe there is a small number of people who think the same. Constant dropping wears away a stone. This world holds on the shoulders of such people. Novruz is a real matrix that teaches us how to live, not being offended or offending others, appreciating the past, the present and the future, honoring traditions, appreciating the acquired, created and worked, respecting the elders and preserving nature. Everything starts with Novruz and ends with it. Like us, who stem from it and return back to it.
It's impossible not to love Novruz!
